Delivery Standards & Specifications

To guarantee seamless integration into digital tabletops, card layouts, rulebooks, and commercial printing presses, Salt & Spell delivers all creative assets according to strict industry-standard file specifications.

File Specifications

Character Illustrations

    Format: Layered PSD (Photoshop document) and high-res transparent PNG exports.
  • •
    Color Settings: RGB profile (optimized for digital screens) and CMYK profile conversion (optimized for printing).

    Resolution: 300 DPI minimum to ensure print quality.

Card Layout Designs

    Format: Layered PSD template, print-ready PDF, and separate PNG card sheets.
  • •
    Dimensions: Conform to Standard Poker (63.5 x 88.9 mm) or Tarot size (70 x 120 mm) templates.
  • •
    Bleeds: Outer 3mm bleed margin boundary lines to prevent printing cuts.

Rulebooks & Packaging

    Format: Package of Adobe InDesign assets (INDD, IDML, linked graphics, fonts) and print-ready PDF exports with crop marks.
  • •
    Layouts: Grid-aligned layouts designed according to printer templates supplied by the client or printing manufacturer.

Handover & Storage Policy

    Handover Protocol: All assets are delivered via a secure, password-protected cloud folder (Google Drive, Dropbox, or custom FTP portal).

    Archive Window: Salt & Spell guarantees archive storage of your high-res design assets and layered documents for up to 12 months following project completion.

Delivery Note

It is highly recommended that you consult with your chosen printer before confirming dimensions and bleed requirements. If your printer uses custom template grids, please supply them during the Step 02 Kickoff Consultation.
